- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2026430
- Manufacturer's number: 26S67
- Reported: 2026\-09\-09
- Component: Seats And Restraints
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 119

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the wireless seat belt reminder system within the rear seat belt buckles may not work correctly. As a result, the rear seat belt status indicators in the instrument panel may incorrectly show that a seat belt is buckled when it's not.

Safety Risk:

A seat belt reminder that doesn't work correctly could create confusion. Not wearing a seat belt increases the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the rear seat belts and replace the wireless rear seat belt buckle\(s\), as necessary.
