What is wrong
Issue:
On certain trucks, the power distribution center (PDC) box may be contaminated by oil and could fail. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. This problem could also cause the antilock brake system, exterior lighting, windshield wipers and/or defrost system not to work.
Safety Risk:
A loss of power to the wheels and an antilock braking system that don't work could increase the risk of a crash. Exterior lights, windshield wipers and/or a defrost system that don't work could reduce visibility and also increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the PDC box.

| 26PACD | 2026-09-29. Service campaign. "The PKC Group power distribution center (PDC) in certain vehicles may be contaminated with oil, which could result in a loss of power to the engine, antilock brake system, exterior lighting, windshield wipers, and/or defrost system. This issue may also result in non-compliance with multiple Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) and Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) regulations, such as FMVSS/CMVSS 103 (windshield defrosting and defogging systems), 104 (windshield wiping and washing systems), and 108 (lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment). PDC serial numbers of suspect trucks in the field will be inspected against the 26PACD Suspect Serial Number List in the Links section. If a match is identified, the PDC will be replaced." |
