What is wrong
Issue:
On certain hybrid vehicles, a problem in the hybrid power control unit (HPCU) could cause it to overheat.
Note: This problem could cause the vehicle not to start or to enter a reduced power mode and the malfunction indicator lamp to display.
Safety Risk:
An HPCU that overheats can create a fire risk.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the HPCU software.
