## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain trucks, the connector\(s\) for the rear brake modulator\(s\) may not have proper wiring protection. As a result, the rear brake modulator\(s\) could short circuit and cause a loss of antilock braking system \(ABS\) and electronic stability control \(ESC\).

Safety Risk:

A loss of ABS and ESC could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake modulator\(s\). The dealer will also install a cover on the connector\(s\).
