# Transport Canada recall 2026079 A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups. - Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\) - Campaign number: 2026079 - Manufacturer's number: 26C10 - Reported: 2026\-02\-20 - Component: Lights And Instruments - Notification type: Compliance Mfr - Units potentially affected: 627267 ## What is wrong Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem with the integrated trailer module \(ITRM\) may cause the trailer lights not to work when towing. This problem could also cause the trailer brakes not to work on certain vehicles. Note: This problem would cause a "Trailer brake module fault" message to be displayed and turn signal telltale to flash rapidly. This recall also affects certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: Trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of trailer brakes could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over\-the\-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the ITRM software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership. ## Vehicles this campaign lists - [2022 FORD EXPEDITION](/makes/ford/expedition/2022/recalls.md) - [2023 FORD EXPEDITION](/makes/ford/expedition/2023/recalls.md) - [2024 FORD EXPEDITION](/makes/ford/expedition/2024/recalls.md) - [2025 FORD EXPEDITION](/makes/ford/expedition/2025/recalls.md) - [2026 FORD EXPEDITION](/makes/ford/expedition/2026/recalls.md) - [2021 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2021/recalls.md) - [2022 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2022/recalls.md) - [2023 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2023/recalls.md) - [2024 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2024/recalls.md) - [2025 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2025/recalls.md) - [2026 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/2026/recalls.md) - [2022 FORD F\-250 SUPER DUTY](/makes/ford/f-250/2022/recalls.md).
