## What is wrong

Issue:

On one vehicle, the recall repairs completed by a Mercedes\-Benz dealer during recall 5496507 \(Transport Canada recall no. 2025\-527\) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.

On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high\-voltage battery. As a result, the battery modules could overheat and short circuit.

Safety Risk:

A short circuit in the high\-voltage battery can create a fire risk.

Corrective Actions:

To reduce the safety risk, Mercedes\-Benz recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed. Mercedes\-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the battery management system software.
