What is wrong
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness could become damaged by contact with the fuel pump connector and could short circuit. If this happens, the fuel pump fuse could blow and cause the engine to stall while driving.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and reroute the FTT harness or replace the fuel pump assembly, as necessary.

This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary emissions recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties. Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed. |
