- Notification type: Compliance Mfr

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the body seams may not have been sealed properly. As a result, water could leak into the body control module \(BCM\). If this happens, the front and rear side marker lights, taillights and license plate lights may not work and/or flicker.

Safety Risk:

Exterior lights that don't work and/or flicker could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the body seams for proper sealing. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the BCM.
