## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 24S24 \(Transport Canada recall no. 2024\-224\) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.

On certain vehicles, the powertrain control module \(PCM\) and body control module \(BCM\) may not detect a change in the charge level of the 12 V battery. As a result, the engine could stall. This could also cause the engine not to restart after a start\-stop event and the hazard lights may not work.

Safety Risk:

A sudden loss of power to the wheels or a vehicle that doesn't restart after a start\-stop event could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the PCM and BCM software.
