- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2025059

- Reported: 2025\-02\-11
- Component: Engine
- Notification type: Safety Mfr

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain motorcycles, a software problem could cause damage to the throttle position sensor. This could lead to an unstable idle, engine hesitation or the engine could stall.

Note: This recall replaces recall M23\-008 \(Transport Canada recall no. 2023\-339\). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair.

Safety Risk:

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Yamaha will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the engine control unit \(ECU\) software and replace the throttle position sensor assembly.
