## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Mercedes\-Benz dealer during recall 5491309 \(Transport Canada recall no. 2022\-397\) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.

On certain vehicles equipped with 4\-wheel drive \(4Matic\), the transmission wiring harness may not be routed correctly. As a result, water could enter the wiring harness connector and cause a short circuit. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2022\-397.

Safety Risk:

A short circuit can create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.

Corrective Actions:

Mercedes\-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission wiring harness.
