SSM 523082024-03-05. Service bulletin. Some 2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12.3 inch center display screen and 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit DTCs B1D08:11 and/or B1D09:11 stored in the trailer module (TRM) with a Trailer Brake System Fault See Manual message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) when a trailer is not connected to the vehicle. This may be due to water intrusion at the back side of the trailer tow connector. Inspect connector C4099 and the trailer tow connector (14489) for signs of corrosion or damage. If corrosion or damage is present at either connector, replace the female side of the C4099 connector using service pig tail kit (3U2Z-14S411-JXC) and the trailer tow connector. If corrosion or damage is not present, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 417-01 Exterior Lighting, Diagnosis and Testing for additional diagnosis. For claiming, use causal part 14489 and applicable labor operations in Section 01 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 522712024-02-23. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12 inch center display screen and driver assistance package DBCAY (minor feature code) may exhibit the brakes applying without brake pedal input during parking lot type driving below 5 mph (8 km/h). To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS) OASIS report. This may be due to the Front Brake Assist feature of the vehicle. If the customer finds this feature too sensitive, it can be turned off in the vehicle's center display screen in the Features > Driver Assistance menu. This feature is unrelated to the Pre-Collision Assist feature of the vehicle. To disable the pop-up message that Front Brake Assist is off every time the vehicle is restarted and permanently disable the feature, download and perform the IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Configuration application using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with vacuum assist brakes may exhibit an illuminated brake warning indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) C0047 and/or P0557 present.
