What is wrong
Issue:
On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to flicker or not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a dynamic guideline rearview monitor and/or the 360-degree monitor.
Safety Risk:
A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the view monitor control module software.

| SA-043-26 | 2026-08-04. Service bulletin. This SA supersedes the previously issued SA(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. SA-063/24 09/06/24 DESCRIPTION The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system can malfunction with the following symptoms if the rear side radar sensors are installed facing the wrong direction. |
|---|---|
| SA-025-25 | 2025-06-05. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit wiper blade contact with the A-pillar trim, with or without a chattering noise. This condition may be caused by worn or contaminated wiper blades. It can also be caused by bent wiper arms, or loose wiper arm retaining nuts due to improper handling. Improper handling occurs when pulling on or forcing the wiper arms. Technicians should be aware that while replacement of the wiper blade may resolve some cases, correction of bent components or repositioning of the wiper arms, particularly when the retaining nut is loose, requires additional steps to ensure proper alignment and function. |
| SA-061-24a | 2024-10-04. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain about a low washer fluid level warning message even though a visual inspection of the washer fluid tank looks like it still has a fair amount of fluid in it. With the CX-90 and CX-70 introduction of the front-engine and rear-wheel-drive layout, the washer tank shape was changed from a vertical to a horizontal type. This makes it look like there is still enough liquid left if viewed from the spout when the warning light comes on. |

SSPD6 - SPECIAL SERVICE PROGRAM - VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) PROGRAMMING - 2024 CX-90 SSPD6 - 2024 CX-90 - Vehicle Control Module (VCM) Reprogramming: This campaign will resolve three different concerns. Unintentional warning or braking when backing up. When backing up the vehicle in a parking lot or similar area, the View Monitor Camera (VMC) may detect certain physical obstacles lower to the ground such as, the tires of an adjacent vehicle, parking lines, plants, etc. even though there are no obstacles behind the vehicle. Under this condition, the Smart Brake Support (SBS) system may determine that there is a possibility of a collision, notifying with a visual (screen display) and audible (warning sound), and the brakes possibly being applied in certain cases. Driver recognition result is not displayed (on equipped vehicles) The Driver Personalization system may not recognize the driver’s face to change the seat position settings that have been programmed. In this case the vehicle interprets the driver as a “guest” (non-personalized). The vehicle driver must be in the driver’s seat within 15 seconds of unlocking the vehicle to initiate the Driver Recognition function. Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) may reduce speed to match adjacent lane vehicle While driving on a curved road condition with the Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) activated, a vehicle in the right or left lane may be detected as a vehicle in front of the CX-90 and the MRCC will unexpectedly reduce vehicle speed to match the detected vehicle. The repair will be reprogramming the VCM with modified software via M-MDS, using MDARS. There are 28,404 vehicles in the campaign in the U.S. and U.S. Territories. |

| SA-030-24 | 2024-06-03. Other. Some vehicles may experience a warning light ON, warning messages, or a headlamp concern. After checking the vehicle, DTC B10A3:86 may be stored with or without other DTCs. Follow the repair procedure below for B10A3:86. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. |
| 09-018-24 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates when driving at high speeds at approximately 60 mph (100 km/hour ) or more on bumpy roads such as road joints, coarse-grained paved roads or rough roads. This is caused by insufficient hardness of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass. To eliminate this concern, the material of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass has been improved and the tape location has been modified. |
