What is wrong
Issue:
On certain IBEX 800 Touring motorcycles, the mounting bolt for the right footrest may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolt could loosen and interfere with the rear brake pedal. If this happens, you may not be able to apply the rear brake, causing reduced braking.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to remove the right footrest bolt, apply thread-locking compound and retighten it. To reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO recommends not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed.

Bulletins for the same vehicles and component
| SVC-2025-12 | 2026-03-19. Service bulletin. Due to feedback that the brake bleeding procedure in motorcycle service manuals is not always successful, CFMOTO-USA developed a procedure to supplement the service manual information. |
