What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the chain on the spare tire carrier could break. If this happens, the spare tire could fall from the vehicle.

Safety Risk:

A spare tire that detaches from a vehicle could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the spare tire carrier assembly.

T-SB-0104-222022-12-19. Service bulletin. TSB: A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and service life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As a matter of policy, Toyota does not provide battery warranty coverage for discharged and/or failed batteries due to lack of maintenance. It is the dealer?s responsibility to maintain the specified State-Of-Charge (SOC) of the vehicle?s battery while in stock and ensure proper SOC at delivery.
