A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2023208
- Manufacturer's number: 52 82 23RC
- Reported: 2023\-04\-06
- Component: Seats And Restraints
- Notification type: Compliance Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 26

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, incorrect head restraint guide sleeves may have been installed on the second\-row outboard seats. As a result, the head restraints may not lock in place and could move in a crash.

Safety Risk:

Head restraints that move in a crash could increase the risk of an injury.

Corrective Actions:

BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the second\-row outboard seat head restraint guide sleeves, and replace them if necessary. To minimize the safety risk, BMW recommends not to transport people in the second\-row outboard seats until the recall repairs are completed.
