- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2023148
- Manufacturer's number: R0222 \(31D023\)
- Reported: 2023\-03\-17
- Component: Visual System
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 24676

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper motor may stop working when snow and/or ice builds up on the windshield.

Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada Recall No. 2022\-465. Vehicles that were already repaired under Hyundai recall campaign R0222 don't require this repair.

Safety Risk:

Windshield wipers that don't work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver's windshield wiper arm. Hyundai advises that if the wipers stop working, you should clear any buildup of snow or ice before restarting the wipers.
