## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain RAV4 Prime models, the occupant classification system \(OCS\) may not work properly due to interference between seat components. As a result, the airbag system can turn off the passenger\-front airbag even when an adult is sitting in the seat.

Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with an 8\-way power front passenger seat with a seat lifter function.

Safety Risk:

An airbag system that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the front passenger seat. If interference is found, the dealer will adjust the seat, as necessary, and re\-calibrate the occupant classification system.
