- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2021439
- Manufacturer's number: 21S34
- Reported: 2021\-07\-16
- Component: Engine
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 2624

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the engine wiring harness may not be properly attached. As a result, the wiring could contact the air conditioning \(A/C\) compressor pulley. This can damage the wiring, and could result in a short circuit.

Safety Risk:

A short circuit can create the risk of a fire.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a tie strap to secure the wiring harness. The dealer will also inspect the wire harness and A/C compressor belt for damage. They will be repaired, as necessary.
