## What is wrong

Issue:

Under certain driving conditions, a fault in the power steering system could cause reduced power assist when the lane following assist \(LFA\) system is used. This can cause a sudden change in steering feel and an increase in steering effort.

Note: This problem only affects certain models equipped with a 2.5 L T\-GDI engine.

Safety Risk:

A sudden change in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action:

Kia Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the motor driven power steering system \(MDPS\) software.
