What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, when switching the distance display setting from kilometers to miles, the speedometer displays the vehicle speed in miles per hour (mph) only. Canadian regulations require that speed be displayed in either kilometers per hour (km/h) or in both km/h and mph.

Safety Risk:

This small error does not affect vehicle safety.

Corrective Actions:

This is not a recall. Tesla has made changes to ensure that all new vehicle speedometers display mph and km/h when the display distance is set to miles. In addition, this change was sent to all vehicles in firmware update 2020.36.11.

SB19-20-003-R32023-12-18. Service bulletin. On some Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, the Occupant Classification System (OCS) signal might be affected by electrical interference in the seat electrical harness, causing the airbag indicator to display on the touchscreen.
SB19170112019-11-25. Service bulletin. Certain Model 3 vehicles ordered with front fog lights were delivered without the front fog lights.
SB-19-11-0012019-02-19. Service bulletin. On certain Model S vehicles, the liftgate has plugs that do not allow water to drain, causing condensation to build up inside the tail light assembly. Tail light functionality is not affected. The retrofit of updated drain-type liftgate plugs allows water to escape the liftgate and keep the tail lights dry.

A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers. It is not part of this recall.
