- Campaign number: 2020134

- Reported: 2020\-03\-31
- Component: Brakes
- Notification type: Safety Mfr

## What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the front brake hoses may contact the fender liners. This could cause damage to the hoses that can result in a brake fluid leak. If this happens, brake performance could be reduced.

Note: A brake fluid leak can cause the low brake fluid warning to turn on.

Safety Risk:

Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Mercedes\-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front brake hoses. If the hoses are damaged, they will be replaced. Additionally, the front fenders liners will be cut to prevent future damage.
