What is wrong
Issue:
On certain motorcycles, some transmission parts may not be properly manufactured. This could cause the transmission to malfunction. If this happens, the rear wheel could suddenly lock-up.
Safety Risk:
A rear wheel that locks suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorcycle to a dealership to replace the defective transmission parts.
