# Transport Canada recall 2019117 A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups. - Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\) - Campaign number: 2019117 - Reported: 2019\-03\-07 - Component: Airbag - Notification type: Safety Mfr - Units potentially affected: 83977 ## What is wrong Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the driver\-front airbag inflator. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, pieces could be propelled toward the occupants. This could also cause damage to the airbag assembly and prevent it from inflating properly. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles that had a Takata airbag inflator installed during a previous airbag recall or collision repair. Safety Risk: In a crash where the airbag deploys, there could be an increased risk of injury. Corrective Action: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the driver\-front airbag inflator replaced. ## Vehicles this campaign lists - [2003 ACURA CL](/makes/acura/cl/2003/recalls.md) - 2001 ACURA EL - 2002 ACURA EL - 2003 ACURA EL - 2004 ACURA EL - 2005 ACURA EL - [2003 ACURA MDX](/makes/acura/mdx/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 ACURA MDX](/makes/acura/mdx/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 ACURA MDX](/makes/acura/mdx/2005/recalls.md) - [2006 ACURA MDX](/makes/acura/mdx/2006/recalls.md) - [2002 ACURA TL](/makes/acura/tl/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 ACURA TL](/makes/acura/tl/2003/recalls.md) - [2001 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2005/recalls.md) - [2006 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2006/recalls.md) - [2007 HONDA ACCORD](/makes/honda/accord/2007/recalls.md) - [2001 HONDA CIVIC](/makes/honda/civic/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 HONDA CIVIC](/makes/honda/civic/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA CIVIC](/makes/honda/civic/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA CIVIC](/makes/honda/civic/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 HONDA CIVIC](/makes/honda/civic/2005/recalls.md) - [2002 HONDA CR\-V](/makes/honda/cr-v/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA CR\-V](/makes/honda/cr-v/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA CR\-V](/makes/honda/cr-v/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 HONDA CR\-V](/makes/honda/cr-v/2005/recalls.md) - [2006 HONDA CR\-V](/makes/honda/cr-v/2006/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2005/recalls.md) - [2006 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2006/recalls.md) - [2007 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2007/recalls.md) - [2008 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2008/recalls.md) - [2009 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2009/recalls.md) - [2010 HONDA ELEMENT](/makes/honda/element/2010/recalls.md) - [2002 HONDA ODYSSEY](/makes/honda/odyssey/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA ODYSSEY](/makes/honda/odyssey/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA ODYSSEY](/makes/honda/odyssey/2004/recalls.md) - [2003 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2003/recalls.md) - [2004 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2004/recalls.md) - [2005 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2005/recalls.md) - [2006 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2006/recalls.md) - [2007 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2007/recalls.md) - [2008 HONDA PILOT](/makes/honda/pilot/2008/recalls.md) - [2006 HONDA RIDGELINE](/makes/honda/ridgeline/2006/recalls.md) ## Bulletins for the same vehicles and component A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers.
