What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal may interfere with a wiring harness. This could cause the accelerator pedal to get stuck.

Safety Risk:

A stuck accelerator pedal would lead to unintended acceleration of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Dealers will inspect the accelerator pedal module wiring harness. The wiring harness will be moved and secured if necessary. All vehicles will be repaired prior to sale.

The affected production range has been increased by 6 months. Rattling noises coming from the oil sump and crankcase area when the engine is running with the transmission in neutral. The noise can be heard outside the vehicle.
