What is wrong
On certain motorcycles, continuous operation with the engine in a misfire condition could lead to elevated exhaust temperatures. This could damage the rear brake line, which would increase stopping distances, and damage electrical wiring. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will re-route the brake line and wiring away from the exhaust catalyst.

| V-17-02 | 2020-08-28. Service bulletin. Victory engineering has determined that some Cross Country, Cross Country Tour, Cross Roads, Magnum and Hard Ball models may experience damage to the rear brake line. Motorcycles experiencing prolonged misfire conditions may produce increased catalytic converter temperatures causing the retention clip securing the rear brake line to melt. In extreme cases, the retention clip may melt onto the catalytic converter, and increasing the risk of brake line damage. |
