A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2017471
- Reported: 2017\-09\-28
- Component: Airbag
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 12894

## What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the front passenger seat occupant detection mat can fatigue over time. As a result, the passenger airbag could deactivate, illuminating the airbag warning lamp and the passenger airbag ON/OFF lamp. Failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during a crash \(where deployment is warranted\) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the occupant detection mat.
