## What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with the passive Blind Spot Monitoring \(BSM\) system, the function may not operate properly due to the wrong instrument cluster and steering wheel being installed. As a result, the BSM cannot be activated. If a driver was expecting the system to be functional and were to rely solely on the visual and acoustic warnings of the BSM when attempting to change to or overtake a lane in which another vehicle is travelling, it could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install the correct instrument cluster and steering wheel.
