What is wrong
Certain vehicles equipped with an anti-lock brake system (ABS) and without electronic stability control (ESC) may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 105 - Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems. The brake system indicator tell-tale may not illuminate during the lamp function check when the ignition is initially turned to the βONβ (run) position, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: Dealers will correct the coding of the instrument cluster software.
