A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2016319
- Manufacturer's number: 58C9
- Reported: 2016\-06\-22
- Component: Structure
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 1567

## What is wrong

On certain vehicles, rear door child safety locks could disengage due to external vehicle vibration \(such as when closing a door\). This would render it possible for a child to unintentionally open a door, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the child locks. Note: This recall affects Golf R models only.
