## What is wrong

On certain hybrid models, an error in communication between the electric motor inverter and the transmission control module could cause the electric motor to stop functioning when the vehicle is operated in electric\-only mode, causing a loss of motive power and illuminating the warning lamp. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update vehicle software.
