# Transport Canada recall 2008196 A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups. - Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\) - Campaign number: 2008196 - Manufacturer's number: 08505 - Reported: 2008\-06\-05 - Component: Electrical - Notification type: Safety Mfr - Units potentially affected: 8328 ## What is wrong On certain vehicles, the potting material that encapsulates the circuit board of the remote power module may not sufficiently seal the circuit board from water and contamination intrusion. If the encapsulation is compromised, water and contaminants may cause an internal electrical short.
