# Transport Canada recall 2008038 A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups. - Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\) - Campaign number: 2008038 - Manufacturer's number: 08S01 - Reported: 2008\-02\-06 - Component: Electrical - Notification type: Safety Mfr - Units potentially affected: 8869 ## What is wrong On certain vehicles, a wiring harness that is not compatible with the vehicle circuit polarity may have been inadvertently installed during servicing for recall 2005028 or 2007258. As a result, the fuse is located in the output circuit rather than in the input power feed circuit, and will not offer the intended protection in the event of an electrical short to ground. This could result in a vehicle fire, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install an updated wiring harness. ## Vehicles this campaign lists - [1993 FORD BRONCO](/makes/ford/bronco/1993/recalls.md) - [1992 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 FORD CROWN VICTORIA](/makes/ford/crown-victoria/1998/recalls.md) - [1992 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1998/recalls.md) - [1999 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/1999/recalls.md) - [2000 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/2000/recalls.md) - [2001 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 FORD E150](/makes/ford/e-150/2003/recalls.md) - [1992 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1998/recalls.md) - [1999 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/1999/recalls.md) - [2000 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/2000/recalls.md) - [2001 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 FORD E250](/makes/ford/e-250/2003/recalls.md) - [1992 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1998/recalls.md) - [1999 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/1999/recalls.md) - [2000 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/2000/recalls.md) - [2001 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 FORD E350](/makes/ford/e-350/2003/recalls.md) - 1992 FORD E450 - 1993 FORD E450 - 1994 FORD E450 - [1995 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/1998/recalls.md) - [1999 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/1999/recalls.md) - [2000 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/2000/recalls.md) - [2001 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/2001/recalls.md) - [2002 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 FORD E450](/makes/ford/e-450/2003/recalls.md) - 1992 FORD E550 - 1993 FORD E550 - 1994 FORD E550 - 1995 FORD E550 - 1996 FORD E550 - 1997 FORD E550 - 1998 FORD E550 - 1999 FORD E550 - 2000 FORD E550 - 2001 FORD E550 - [2002 FORD E550](/makes/ford/e-550/2002/recalls.md) - [2003 FORD E550](/makes/ford/e-550/2003/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD F\-150](/makes/ford/f-150/1993/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD F\-250](/makes/ford/f-250/1993/recalls.md) - [1993 FORD F\-350](/makes/ford/f-350/1993/recalls.md) - 1993 FORD F\-450 SUPER DUTY - 1995 FORD F53 MOTORHOME CHASSIS - 1996 FORD F53 MOTORHOME CHASSIS - 1997 FORD F53 MOTORHOME CHASSIS - [1992 LINCOLN TOWN CAR](/makes/lincoln/town-car/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 LINCOLN TOWN CAR](/makes/lincoln/town-car/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 LINCOLN TOWN CAR](/makes/lincoln/town-car/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 LINCOLN TOWN CAR](/makes/lincoln/town-car/1995/recalls.md) - [1992 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1992/recalls.md) - [1993 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1993/recalls.md) - [1994 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1994/recalls.md) - [1995 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1995/recalls.md) - [1996 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1996/recalls.md) - [1997 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1997/recalls.md) - [1998 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS](/makes/mercury/grand-marquis/1998/recalls.md) ## Bulletins for the same vehicles and component A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers.
