# Transport Canada recall 2006186

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2006186
- Reported: 2006\-07\-27
- Component: Powertrain
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 954

## What is wrong

Certain vehicles equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission \(CVT\) fail to comply with CMVSS 101. The odometer and trip record counter are calibrated in miles rather than kilometres. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the odometer to record the distance traveled in kilometres. Where such reprogramming is not feasible or practical, the odometer will be replaced with one recording in kilometres.
