# Transport Canada recall 2005354

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

- Published by: Transport Canada \(Canada\)
- Campaign number: 2005354
- Manufacturer's number: 05S37
- Reported: 2005\-11\-10
- Component: Fuel System
- Notification type: Safety Mfr
- Units potentially affected: 3938

## What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the fuel tank straps may break, potentially resulting in the fuel tank and fuel tank heat shield dropping on the exhaust system \(FWD vehicles\) or driveshaft \(AWD vehicles\). If the fuel tank and shield contact the exhaust or driveshaft, the driver may notice noise or a fuel leak. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace both fuel tank straps.
