What is wrong

AUTOMATIC FRONT WHEEL BEARING ADJUSTING NUTS MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO DAMAGE DURING INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL DUE TO INCORRECT TOOLS OR INCORRECT TORQUE. ALSO, SOME OF THE NUTS MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY. THIS CAN RESULT IN THE NUT HAVING THE POTENTIAL TO ROTATE FREELY AND LOOSE TORQUE. IN TURN THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN FRONT WHEEL SEPARATION.

CORRECTION: FRONT WHEEL BEARING ADJUSTING NUTS WILL BE REPLACED WITH CASTLE NUTS AND COTTER PINS.

01B742001-07-19. Service bulletin. SOME VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH DSO HENDRICKSON AIR SUSPENSION OPTION HAVE EXPERIENCED CRACKED FRAMES AT THE TORQUE ROD ATTACHMENT TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE RAIL. THE STRESSES IMPOSED BY THE TORQUE ROD EXCEED THE MATERIAL YIELD STRENGTH CAUSING CRACKS TO OCCUR AT THE TORQUE ARM SHIM PLATE. THIS TORQUE ROD RETAINS THE HENDERICKSON AIR SUSPENSION FROM MOVING NORMAL TO THE FRAME RAIL WEB. *TT

A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers. It is not part of this recall.
