What is wrong
THE REAR AXLE PINION MAY CRACK AND EVENTUALLY BREAK AT THE PINION THREAD LOCATION. THIS COULD CAUSE SEPARATION OF THE THREADED END OF THE PINION RESULTING IN SUBSEQUENT SEPARATION OF THE YOKE AND DRIVE LINE FROM THE REAR AXLE. A SEPARATED YOKE AND DRIVE LINE COULD POSE A HAZARD TO OTHER USERS OF THE ROADWAY AND ALSO AFFECT VEHICLE STABILITY AND CONTROL. THIS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
CORRECTION: REAR AXLE CARRIER PINION ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
