VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITHOUT THE BRAKE PUSHROD TO PEDAL RETAINING PINS.  THUS THE PUSHROD COULD DISENGAGE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAKL RESULTING IN LOSS OF SERVICE BRAKES.
