## What is wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:  PASSENGER VEHICLES.  THE BACK LIGHT BULBS FOR THE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY FOR THE GEAR SHIFT POSITION \(PRNDL\) AND THE ODOMETER WERE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED.


## What can happen

IF THE BULBS FALL OUT, THE DISPLAY MAY BE DIFFICULT TO READ.


## The remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ASSEMBLY WITH CLUSTERS THAT HAVE BULBS THAT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TWIST\-LOCKED IN PLACE.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JUNE 8, 1998.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1\-800\-992\-1997.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1\-888\-DASH\-2\-DOT \(1\-888\-327\-4236\).
