## What is wrong

General Motors LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain 2023\-2024 BrightDrop Zevo 600 and 2024 Zevo 400 vehicles.  The steering shaft may have been damaged during vehicle assembly and cause the steering to lock up.


## What can happen

Steering lock up increases the risk of a crash.


## The remedy

Dealers will replace the lower intermediate shaft, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed March 28, 2025.  GM's number for this recall is N252495400.
