## What is wrong

Ford Motor Company \(Ford\) is recalling certain 2023\-2024 Transit vehicles equipped with a Transit Trail package.  The electronic power assist steering \(EPAS\) ground eyelet joint may experience corrosion, which can result in a loss of power steering assist.


## What can happen

A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.


## The remedy

Dealers will install a new EPAS ground pigtail kit, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed on January 10, 2025.  Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1\-866\-436\-7332.  Ford's number for this recall is 24S46.
