What is wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 ACX (Xpeditor) and DC (Legend) vehicles. The axle lock nut may be improperly secured, allowing the wheel end to separate.

What can happen

The wheel end separating from the vehicle increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and secure or replace the lock nut, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 26, 2024. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's numbers for this recall are ACX-2402 and DC-2405.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
