## What is wrong

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC \(DTNA\) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles.  A certain combination of software and anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) hardware may lead to a system error, possibly causing a loss of vehicle braking and the inability to set the parking brake.


## What can happen

A loss of brakes increases the risk of a crash.


## The remedy

DTNA service facilities will update the software, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed on March 10, 2022.  Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1\-800\-547\-0712.  DTNA's number for this recall is FL919.
