## What is wrong

Mercedes\-Benz USA, LLC \(MBUSA\) is recalling certain 2016\-2018 AMG GT vehicles.  The bonding between the carbon\-fiber driveshaft and the flange may be insufficient, which could result in driveshaft separation.


## What can happen

A separated driveshaft may cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.


## The remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the carbon\-fiber driveshaft, as necessary, free of charge.  Owner letters were mailed October 15, 2021.  Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1\-800\-367\-6372.  MBUSA's number for this recall is 2021090008.
