## What is wrong

Ducati North America \(Ducati\) is recalling certain 2021 Scrambler 800 Night Shift motorcycles. The front and rear turn signal lights may not flash brightly enough. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

## What can happen

Turn signal lights that aren't bright enough can reduce other driver's ability to see that the turn signals have been activated, increasing the risk of a crash.

## The remedy

Dealers will replace the front and rear turn signals, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 28, 2021. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1\-888\-391\-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV\-RCL\-21\-009.

## Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1\-888\-327\-4236 \(TTY 1\-800\-424\-9153\), or go to www.safercar.gov.
