## What is wrong

Daimler Vans USA, LLC  \(DVUSA\) is recalling certain 2019 Mercedes\-Benz Sprinter \(Platform 907\) vehicles equipped with high\-beam assist.  A software error in the control unit may prevent the driver from being able to switch off the high beams when intended.


## What can happen

Being unable to turn off the high beams may result in oncoming traffic being blinded by the vehicle's lights, increasing the risk of crash.


## The remedy

DVUSA will notify owners, and Mercedes\-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealers will update the control unit software, free of charge.  The recall began June 14, 2019.  Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1\-877\-762\-8267.  DVUSA's number for this recall is VS3FERNLI.
