## What is wrong

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, DURING ASSEMBLY, THE FINAL\-DRIVE ASSEMBLY O\-RING MAY NOT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY.  A LEAK MAY OCCUR AT THE LOCATION OF THIS O\-RING WHICH IS NEAR THE REAR BRAKE DISC.


## What can happen

IF A LEAK WERE TO OCCUR, OIL COULD COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE REAR BRAKE DISC, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.


## The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW O\-RING IN THE FINAL\-DRIVE ASSEMBLY.  THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 27, 2006.  OWNERS MAY CONTACT BMW AT 1\-800\-831\-1117.
