## What is wrong

ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 4.0L ENGINES, THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR WIRING INSULATION MAY CRACK AND EXPOSE THE WIRE.


## What can happen

IN THE PRESENCE OF MOISTURE, THIS COULD RESULT IN SENSOR MALFUNCTION, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.


## The remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.  OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON MARCH 29, 2004.  OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1\-800\-853\-1403.
