## What is wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:  PASSENGER VEHICLES.    THE AFFECTED VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH INCORRECT CHILD LOCK INSTRUCTION LABELS.


## What can happen

THE INCORRECT LABELS COULD CAUSE CONFUSION AS TO WHETHER THE CHILDPROOF SAFETY LOCK WAS ACTIVATED.


## The remedy

OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECT LABELS.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 27, 2000.OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE CORRECT LABELS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1\-800\-992\-1997. ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1\-888\-DASH\-2\-DOT \(1\-888\-327\-4236\).
