# Service bulletins for the 2018 Yamaha XSR700

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1 bulletin from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

- [M2020\-004](/bulletins/10174505.md), 2020-05-02, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE; POWER TRAIN. The drive chain guard rattles while riding. There is a gap between the drive chain guard and rear arm bracket even when the mounting bolts are tightened. This allows the drive chain guard to move and make a rattling noise due to engine vibration and road conditions. To prevent the rattling noise the factory has developed a rubber damper to absorb the drive chain guard vibration.
